![]() Weight and Body Mass IndexWith recent rising overweight and obesity rates, body weight is a top concern driving people toward a healthier lifestyle. It's also a key factor used in our computations of your resting metabolic rate (more on that later). NutriMirror® allows you to log your body weight and track changes over time. We'll also analyze your body mass index (BMI) to help you determine your appropriate weight range. Your BMI is a number derived from your weight and height as an indicator of overall body fat. While BMI numbers may be misleading for persons with unusually high or low muscle mass, in general a person with a BMI between 18.5 and 25 is considered to have a "normal" body mass index. Tracking these measurements can be a helpful encouragement when the weight just doesn't seem to want to disappear (often, the scale measurement stays the same when fat is being replaced by muscle ... and so your shrinking waistline can be your best indicator of progress!) ![]() Additional MeasurementsIn addition to tracking your changes in weight, BMI, and waist and hip circumference, NutriMirror® members are able to log changes for a number of other health benchmarks:
