blondex | I learned about this recipe a few days ago. All you need is a bunch of washed kale, salt, pepper or whatever seasonings you like, and olive oil!
They're easy to make too. Chop the kale into bite-size pieces, toss with a little olive oil (enough to roughly coat it, but you be the judge) and some salt and pepper. Be sure to go easy on the salt if you're watching your sodium, these don't need a lot.
Spread the kale pieces evenly on a cookie sheet.
Sprinkle pepper to taste, pop in the oven and bake for 10 minutes at 350. ... |
continue reading 16 comments November 15, 2009, 10:00 am I made the best dinner (recipe sorta) | I cooked a two chicken breasts half way (dinner was just hubby and I). While they were baking, seasoned with Keg Steak Spice, I prepped the rest.
I took two portobello mushrooms, and ripped the stems off. I seasoned them with salt and pepper and a sprinkle of Garlic Plus. I sliced up some black olives and lined the mushrooms with them. Then I topped it with a couple of tablespoons of PC Blue Menu Primavera sauce.
When the chicken was half done, I layed them over the mushrooms, and scooped on some more primavera sauce and popped them in the oven. ... |

1 cup dried chick peas
1-2 chicken bouillon
2-3 whole garlic, peeled
3 tbl. Sesame oil or 1/3 cup tahini paste
3 tbl. Cumin
lime juice to taste
paprika
olive oil for drizzling
1. Boil chickpeas in water and chicken bouillon. Save the water to use as a thinner in case blender makes it too thick.
2. Add peas, garlic, cumin, sesame oil and lime juice to food processor and pulvarize! (you can sub. Tahini paste, but sometimes hard to find and not very economical) OR you could make your own by throwing sesame seeds in food processor. It works, ... |
continue reading 5 comments May 2, 2009, 5:18 pm Homemade is so much better! | My husband and I went out for a matinee movie, and when we got out we tried to decide what to do for dinner. It was very tempting just to walk next-door to McDonalds, and I've kinda been wanting to try KFC's grilled chicken, but it was all the way across town. My husband suggested we head to the grocery store to get the supplies for a salad, and then some ice cream for desert.
The salad we ended up making was DELICIOUS, way better than anything we could have bought at a restaurant, and it was only 360 calories! You ... |
