My favorit nutrimirror feature!
To date, there are just so many great things about Nutrimirror. My favorite hands down is the detailed reflection analysis. When I get home from work I check my reflection analysis and see which macro and micro-nutrients I am lacking for the day. Then by clicking on the nutrients and browsing through the foods that are rich in those nutrients, I decide what to make for dinner.

I actually enjoy it. It's fun, and helps keep my diet healthy. Today I substituted white beans for half of the pasta that I would usually mix with our veggies and chicken sausage, which ...

3-day conference and staying green
gennat
gennat
Next week, I'm going to be going away for three days for a conference/work-group. I'll be staying in a hotel and eating all my meals with my coworkers. The thing is, they take some pride in their extravagant eating and drinking. I want to be with them - it's an important part of fostering our working relationships - but I don't want to sacrifice my new healthy habits.

Things I've done:
1) checked if the hotel has a gym. They don't but you get complementary admission to a gym a block away. Good enough. I will go every morning.

2)Considered breakfast. The hotel ...

Planning Ahead

Tonight, I will be dining a la Applebee's with a good friend. This is how I planned my dinner out and am still green for the day.

1) Went to the Applebee's website and pulled up their menu: MENU

2) Decided upon the 7 oz steak from their new under 550 calorie menu (which I will ask to have prepared without the Asiago cheese and of course will also ask them not to add any salt to my food when they are preparing it)

3) Selected similar items from the database and logged them (well, look at that, the meal ...

A SLIVERY almost GREEN DAY planned
nylatinjazz

Yesterday, with family and plenty of COMFORT FOOD was great. Believe it or not, the GYM WAS OPEN! I arrived at 8:00 am, and completed my water jogging routine. Thankfully, because I knew I was going to have a RED day. Since I was able to burn up at least 600 calories, I didn't do as much damage as I could have.

TODAY, we have an abundance of leftovers so instead of deceiving myself, I decided to make this a SLIVER DAY and stick to it. Especially because I don't water jog on the weekends, I'm used to eating LESS ...

CELEBRATING THE LOSS OF HIS WIFE!
PuraVida
PuraVida
CELEBRATING THE LOSS OF HIS WIFE!My husband and I are celebrating "the loss of his wife". He has bought me a beautiful little black dress and shoes that were definitely inspired by Kel! We'll be going to a lovely bed and breakfast inn and out for a special dinner at a very fancy restaurant. I made sure to be green before we leave. I also want to know that I have calories to spare so I had a good workout this morning and did some preplanning. Of course I will make adjustments tomorrow when I see what I really end up eating for dinner, but ...

What happens when you don’t plan ahead!
I’m embarrassed! I’ve been doing this long enough to know better.
Forgot to eat and went to a party. Wrong!
I got busy and forgot to shop! Wrong!
In fact the last 3 days I have seen red! Wrong!
So, the first thing we did this morning was hit the market.
Lots of fruit and veggies, cleaned and in containers so they are easy to get to. Even got a turkey breast and roasted it and sliced for sandwiches. Extra strawberries and bananas that I sliced and am freezing for smoothies.
I’m telling this because someone told me she checks my ...

Ideas for a Walk
This is how we started planning our walk.

The Walkathon we are planning grow from the fact I could see quite a few people with addresses in this area.

Southern California, Riverside, Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

I know PuraVida and knew czoerun lived near by. I asked if they would like to help plan a get together. They are great ladies and jumped right in.

The coast is always a pretty destination. From here we picked a date and time.

We are throwing the invitation out there and are hopeful people will want to participate.

Other decisions will be made depending on how ...
