NanciJ | Since joining Overeaters Anonymous (almost two years ago) I have struggled to define abstinence for myself.
With Alcoholics Anonymous--it's pretty easy. Sober is sober and that's it. But with food...it's not like we just stop eating. Many of my friends in OA are abstaining from a particular food or foods and they can ward off a binge by not eating that particular item.
But with me, I have yet to figure out what specific items lead me down the path to a binge. Other people define abstinence for themselves as staying within a certain calorie allotment for the day, but that ... |

swanstyle | Yesterday, with family and plenty of COMFORT FOOD was great. Believe it or not, the GYM WAS OPEN! I arrived at 8:00 am, and completed my water jogging routine. Thankfully, because I knew I was going to have a RED day. Since I was able to burn up at least 600 calories, I didn't do as much damage as I could have.
TODAY, we have an abundance of leftovers so instead of deceiving myself, I decided to make this a SLIVER DAY and stick to it. Especially because I don't water jog on the weekends, I'm used to eating LESS ... |
