We have friends in town from New Jersey. I use the term friends in the literal sense but really they are family: my husband's life-long best friend, his wife, their two kids and a birding dog. They brought me a four pound bag of quinoa from Costco. I think this has made me happier than any bottle of wine I've ever been handed as a hostess gift (and that says a lot!).

It is a little frustrating; some of the foods I want to put in are not here like bread? Exercise is really the only part so far that I have accomplished; however, I will continue to play with it. I have started taking more supplements like fish oil and biotin to my daily vitamin just because there is a place to put it in here and I want to see that GREEN! I have had some really nice comments from others welcoming me to this site ... |

This is my first day... I've kinda lost my way about 20 mos ago I've gone from 135-140 now @ 172lbs.
about 4yrs ago my wt was 309lbs and lost 176lbs i was doing great.. then things changed relationships failed & a new one began. A lot of going out 2 eat and fruity drinks and gifts from the candy shop... now its worse then ever the beast is back and I'm out of control all the things i limited my self from having... blew-up in my face. I'm wanting 2 get back on track I can do very well ... |

 What a pleasure it was meeting NM users in person! We had a great time Saturday; it was especially fun putting the online picture and username with the "real face"... "Hey, you're SylviaAnn!", "No way, that's JCSteel!", "Oh my gosh, it's m•o•m!" Sweet66 and her husband zimzam65 were the most changed from their profile pictures. Anna has cut her hair short and it looks real cute and her husband is sans beard! He looks completely different and 10 years younger.  Last night Jim and I had dinner with our friends Frank and “PuraVida”.
“PuraVida” is a gourmet cook and is working on improving her recipes and making them “green”. She has been very successful and her recipes haven’t lost any flavor while doing this!
I couldn’t help but take pictures because the food not only tasted great but the colors were unbelievable.
I combined a couple of pictures.
Check out the menu with nutritional facts sheet! All the information had been entered. I am able to enter the entire meal with “one click” because “PuraVida” had entered it in her site ... |

tracieschaekel | I am a 40 year old mother of 2 beautiful girls that are both thin. My husband is 6' 5" and weighs in at about 180. I have not support at home due to everyone being able to eat what they want and not gain a pound. I am looking for someone to connect with emotionally for support. Support runs both ways and it doesn't matter if it is a woman or man. No preference.
