My New Foods
A member (siouxsun?) recently posted that she was having a hard time finding new foods after adding them to the database. She was looking for an easier way to find these foods and add them to her log. So I've added a new search type option called My New Foods on the Add To Log page.

When you select My New Foods, you will be presented with an alphabetical list of all the foods that you have added to the database, that have not yet been approved for use by other members. For many of you, this list will be quite ...

Food Search Update, Take Two

After last week's attempted update to the food search code, we rolled back to the previous version to fix multiple problems pointed out by the NutriMirror community. We've been working hard to make the necessary fixes since then, and over the last few days we've been rolling out the latest updates to more and more of our users. As of this afternoon, all of you are now using the new version of the page.

More on the Food Search

Because some of you were having trouble with the new food search code, I've stepped back and replaced it with what we were using before. Hopefully this will solve the issue for now. Let me know if it still isn't working -- and for those who had trouble before, please let me know if this helps.

Also, yes, there were issues with the server last night which made the site difficult to reach for a while. This was unrelated to the search code trouble, and unfortunately made it difficult to know who was being affected by which issue.

Food Search Update

Hi everybody,

I've just posted some long-overdue fixes to the code on the Add To Food Log page. The page should be much more reliable in returning results from the database now. As always, let me know if I've broken anything in the process.
