friendlydaisygrl | I didn't realize how fatty a caesar salad is! WHAT?!? I've been eating them thinking I was doing myself a favor by eating salad. Why on earth do all the caesar dressings contain so much fat. My boyfriend and I make our own from scratch at home and I don't see what would contain that much fat. I realize that by making it at home, I'm probably making it healthier then any caesar I'd eat while dining out. But still... My salad from La Bou was 94% fat!
Can anyone tell me why?
I guess I'll be swimming a little longer tonight... ... |

Their Miso Caesar is AMAZING. It has a great mustardy tang to it and it is.....get this.....FOURTEEN CALORIES PER TABLESPOON!! Compared to most dressings which are about 50 or more for a tablespoon!!
Just wanted to share. It makes salad eating SO much more enjoyable. ... |

But here's the recipe for the dressing. It's really good.
BASIC BALSAMIC VINAGRETTE
2 cloves minced garlic
1 table spoon honey
1 pinch red pepper flakes
2 table spoon balsamic vinegar
2 table spoon olive oil
Whisk all ingredients and tada! It's so good on ... |
