Muesli

This is one of my mother's favorite breakfasts. And it's another no-brainer to prepare. Simply soak the oats and dried fruit overnight in milk -in the dish you'll eat from! Yea for one dish food!

Wow, simple to make and nutritious. Not a bad way to start the day.

Ingredients

  • Oatmeal 1/2 cup (40 grams)
  • Milk (we used non-fat) 1/2 cup (100 grams)
  • Raisins 1/4 ounce (6 grams)
  • Dried sour cherries 3/8 ounce (10 grams)
  • Plain Yogurt 1 TB (14 grams)
Makes 1 serving

Preparation

Put oats, dried fruit, and milk in a bowl. Let soak overnight in the refrigerator, covered.

In the morning add the yogurt (this is a cold dish), eat and feel good.

There are really no rules with this breakfast when it comes to added ingredients. You can use plain yogurt, flavored yogurt (just make it a quality no-additives yogurt), dried fruit, fresh fruit, and of course nuts.

How will you dress up your Muesli?
