New Journal Categories

So I'm sure you've all noticed the changes to the right-hand column. We've had lots of people posting in this new year, so I've added a few categories to make things a little better organized, and hopefully give you all a better chance to follow the conversations you're most interested in.

Eventually we'll be implementing a full overhaul of how the journal community works, but for now I'm hoping that this helps to make things a little easier.

A few things to note:

1) Click the arrows next to any of the category headings to hide the posts within that category. This should help you reduce some of the clutter and focus on what you're interested in. But don't worry, if a new post is created for any category you've hidden, the arrow icon will highlight red to let you know you're missing something.

2) I've reworked the Member Journal summary page, which used to show the beginnings of the 50 most recent posts. Now you can visit that page by clicking any of the following headings: Site Help, Healthy Living, Miscellaneous, or Recipes. When you do that, you'll be able to click through headlines for all the old posts in the system, all the way back to day one. There's also a date feature that will give you a shortcut to any past day.

3) You can add your posts to any of the four above categories by making the selection on your Add To My Journal page. And if you're so inclined, you can click back through any of your old posts and change the category from a new pop-up selector near the bottom of the page. No need to click any update button.

4) As always, this is a work in progress, so please let me know if you run into any trouble.
