Still Struggling after All This Time?

This is not a diet. You are not "BANNED" from eating anything here. Nor should this process be seen as punishment and deprivation.

Until you replace your deprivation mindset (I'm giving up everything I love) with one that is open to finding the pleasures in balance (the journey can and does include treats from the past) this will continue to be a rocky road. Read those 8 Truths again (Featured Menu) and ask yourself, am I REALLY on board with those? Can I ever be?

This is a place where, most often, people are saying you must EAT more, not less. We are not a diet. We are about learning to eat foods in a way that you supply your body with the energy it needs without gaining body weight; and we're about balancing those calories to meet your nutritional needs --- nothing more.

Many people here (just like you) have gone on to win the the struggle of learning how to feed their bodies to acheive balance while finding enough pleasure in the process to make it lasting.

And, these people have been kind enough to share their food histories (public Food Logs) with the NM family. If you've been here a while and are still struggling emotionally, you might benefit greatly by looking really hard at what some of these people are eating every day that makes them not only healthy but HAPPY with the process.

You know who these people are. Study their food logs for a few days.

Then, ask yourself this question. Can I do that? If you can, then start fesh and do it.

THERE IS GREAT PLEASURE IN LIVING IN BALANCE TO BE FOUND. Your job here is to find it. All change begins in the mind. I think long term strugglers need to, first, resolve some of the big mindset issues presented in those 8 Guiding Truths.
