![]() female, 79 years old Owasso, OK | November 9, 2009, 1:57 pm Bone Density TestI just returned from seeing the doctor in Tulsa and got the results of my test. My bones have improved over the last 3 years, which was the last time I had a test. He said my bones are better than a young adult. I was concerned about losing an inch in height, but he said it was because our bones are totally replaced in 7 years, and as we age the bones get smaller when they get replaced. He said that accounts for the loss in height.I was really sweating the results since I had the test done and found out about the height loss. I just knew my bones were going bad. What a surprise to learn they were getting better and better. Also, he is letting me cut my cholesterol medicine in half, but I have to get a re-test in 1 month to see if my cholesterol is staying down. I really think it will with the healthy food I am eating.
