![]() female, 41 years old Maple Ridge, BC Canada | October 28, 2009, 2:17 pm My poor dogOut walking my Cairn Terrier and Weiner dogs last night, when we were attacked by a lab/pitbull/shepard cross that has issues with little dogs, having been bullied as a pup by one (so I found out after talking to her owner). She literally picked up my Cairn by the back and shook her. Twice. She skinned her, and punctured her repeatedly. Two hours of emergency surgery, and I'm home with Frankendog. It's awful awful awful. I actually was not hungry last night for dinner. I ate popcorn while watching biggest loser, but that was purely an emotional need. Today i'm struggling with eating. I've forced breakfast and lunch in me, but I have zero appetite, and am eating only because I know I have to. Makes it easier to make healthy choices, at least. Given any choice I'd rather have nothing. My dog is hurt really really badly. My weiner is physically unharmed, but definately emotionally scarred. The breed is already neurotic by nature, but now he's just a total and complete freak. I think we are all in shock, with some post traumatic thrown in. it's ugly over here right now.
