About Me

I'm 54 years old, and I've been fighting a weight problem most of my life. I've tried many different "diets", and while I'm successful in the beginning, the results haven't lasted, and not only have I put the weight back on, but each time I yo-yo, I end up heavier than when I started. So, now I've given up on "diets" and hope to retrain myself to make healthy choices everyday of my life.




My Goals

My primary goal is to become healthy again ... to be able to move without pain ... to have more energy.

Secondary goal is to feel good about my body ... and to be able to buy my clothes without going in to the Plus Size department.

My high weight was 283 in January of 2008. I started NM at 267. I would like to lose 108 pounds ... however long that takes.

Mini-goals: already reached first of getting in the 250's.

Next mini-goal: 249 by August 7th.
Reached this mini-goal early -- July 27th.

Next mini-goal: 239 by September 27th.
Goal reached on September 17th.

Next mini-goal: 229 by November 17th.
Goal reached on November 8th.

Next mini-goal: 219 by January 9th.
Missed this goal ... ahhh ... the holidays. But, I'm not too far off, and I should make it in the next 3-4 weeks.
Goal reached ... FINALLY ... February 21st.
(These 10 pounds were a real struggle, but I didn't give up as I would have in years past ... I just kept plodding along.)
