Worst Day Ever...

I was doing so great on my diet, making sure to eat correctly everyday, exercise, take vitamins and log everything regularly. On May 7th I was tramatized-worst day I can remember in a Very long time.
While on the freeway, in my elderly father's car (he's 74) to pick up someone from the airport for him, we had a blow-out going about 65 mph. I managed to get us off the freeway without getting smashed.
He & I had to change the tire; which means Mostly I had to change the tire on the side of the road with speeding traffic. (I'd never done that before) I forgot my cell phone, so I couldn't call for roadside.(I later called my insurance company to discover that I do not have roadside anyway-I'm changing insurance companies!)
We eventually made it to the airport & had to wait about 3 hours while his friend went through customs.
If this is not all bad enough, on the way back home, while I did take an alternate route (as not to be stranded on the freeway again) the Transmission "fell out" of his can. All of a sudden I had no accelleration. Still the road I took was a major one, but there were many parking-lots to pull over in. Thank God!! Again-I forgot to bring my cell phone!!! On the day I needed it worst in my entire life-I FORGOT MY CELL PHONE! AHHHhhhhhh!!! Between the 2 of us, we only knew one phone number by heart...
This story could go on & on, with lots of bad things happening inbetween the big bad things! Sorry to do this, but this explains my lack of committment, as I had only one committment on that day, & that was to get drunk. The next day I did pay!!! the entire day I felt like hell-o. since then I really haven't felt up to eating properly. Today I didn't do too badly, but by tomorrow I should be back on track.
sorry to go on & ON but I felt that the only way to get over this horrible experience is to vent, get it out & get back on the horse, so to speak. Thanks for listening & wish me luck getting back. Suzette
