![]() female, 39 years old Los Angeles, CA | November 3, 2009, 6:30 pm DOH!So, yesterday I'm at the grocery store talking on the phone to my mom and I'm telling her I'm buying white beans because they're very high in iron and I'm going to do a broccoli raab and white bean stirfry because my iron is soooo low.She asks: "Are you anemic all of a sudden?" I say: "no? what does that have to do with anything?" Mom: "Don't you take a multi-vitamin? They should give you 100% of your daily requirement." Hmmmm..... So, I go home, look at the bottle and Voila! 100%. Then why am I always struggling with iron? Now I look at the vitamins that I entered, and low and behold I entered in 100 but the field to the right changes- from milligrams to IU to %, whatever is appropriate. And you can change it. Now, I'm been using the site long enough to know this, now... But..... when I entered in the vitamins it was my first day and I don't think I discovered that yet! OOPS! So all this time, I've been trying so hard to stay green on calcium and Iron and Vit C and A.... I've already been green! That's my DOH! (Homer slaps forehead) moment for the day!
