Although it was all health food--because that is all I had in the house--it was a binge no less. Today as I am back on track and able to reflect on yesterdays downfall, I went through my list to see what may have happened. While it is true was was stressed, I was no more stressed then I was on the days I had control. So that was not it. The only thing I can attribute my overwhelming cravings to is a change in my diet. As I have been reporting, I have been experimenting with new foods. My lastest addition is cream cheese. For the last two weeks I have been using the Weight Watchers Fat Reduced Cream Cheese. This week I thought I would save some money and calories by using the Great Value Fat Free Cream Cheese. I saw that it had sugar and some other chemicals, but I thought, it can't hurt--it is real sugar after all. That was a mistake. I realized it takes a couple of days for some foods to affect me. This is one of them. I started eating the cheese on Saturday. Sunday and Monday I noticed an overwhelming hunger. So, today, I decided not to have the cheese and presto, I do not have the overwhelming hunger--so my concensus is that it is the new cheese. It is 4:00 p.m. and I still have over 500 calories to eat. I am in control and not overwhelmingly hungry. I praise God that I am continuing to learn more and more about my body and how it reacts to certain foods. Now I know white sugar is my enemy. The battle continues . . .
