![]() female, 56 years old | June 30, 2009, 2:17 pm Still Working with the Maintenance- A few before Pictures![]() This weekend I overate. Of course it showed up on the scale on Monday. However, it was not too bad. I gained 3 pounds. Being on track this week will take me back to where I belong. This phase of my journey is very different. Instead of trying to lose weight, I am now working on just keeping it under control. To me, this is so much better than trying to lose weight. I now understand why losing it slowly is so important. I have gained new skills. I have learned how to eat, exercise and be diligent about my habits. It is not overwhelming. When I first began, trying to watch what I ate, exercise and stay under control was too much. Now it is a normal part of life. I no longer stress over whether I have eaten 2 calories over. Also, it is so much easier to shake off a day that I am off track. Also, I just exercise and I am not concerned with how many calories I have burned. I know I burned them. The picture included with this post is a before picture, from January, 2007, during my journey. In this picture I was 225. I remember being so proud to be 225. At that point I had lost about 45 pounds. I have my 279 pount pictures coming soon. I truly appreciate all of your support.
