Here's the deal with thezoo. They do not allow food inside,as in coolers, but no one has ever looked crossways at me for bringing a sandwich or a drink. The food choices are not NM standards. There are picnic tales in the North America parking lot, but that's not teribly fun and it means entering and then exiting again. We've also got people traveling a good distance so, my thought is let's set a meeting time i.e. 10 AM- North America. I need to double check if they open at 9. We can come that early, butsome of you have a longer drive. Eat a good breakfast. Bring a portable snack. Set a 2nd meeting time like 12:30 at one of the food facilities to accomodate late arrivals and people who get separated. Plan a meal for the end of our day or dinner out. We've always had a tough time eating out there. Other than the Golden Coral salad bar, it's not terribly vegetarian friendly town and I dread buffets. Justalady, since you live there maybe you have an idea? Please email me at den_kee@msn.com if you can make it and we will nail down the details. As a final not, this coming weekend is like perfect zoo weather, but i don't want to rock the boat by changing the plan. If you've changed your mind please let me know because I am itching to go! This should be a really fun time. I look forward to us hanging out together. Oh- I have one other thought just for fun. I have a read but new copy of The End of Overeating, which I would be happy to pass along. Do participant want to bring along a health related book or cookbook to pass on and have a little exchange?
