Third Time is the Charm
Ugh so much going on. I became the LPO for my division, took up running as a hobby and training for a half marathon that's on the 29th. I'm currently underway for half the month too so after eating a week for crap food and three pounds of weight gain later, I'm back to get on track. Going running tonight and then hit up the gym. Hopefully it all goes well! Wish me luck guys! Keep in touch!

ARGH
Okay so i'm back AGAIN. Sigh this time I have no excuse for not working out or eating right. I just seem to have lost all motivation. Though I'm still in my normal weight range of 130lbs I've gained body fat since all the muscle I had during deployment is gone (you start to lose any muscle you've built after two weeks of not working out) and i'm back to square one. I'm Back and blah!
So after going to Navy Cash I've gained 5lbs and have not been keeping up with my workout regime. It's horrible, I get little sleep and more work. I so cannot wait until we're back in homeport and I can get back to my old self again. I fit a fitness class in during the week when I can and try not to eat too much junk food which is proven to be difficult since the hours suck and I need some sort of caffiene to keep myself going. I'm back!
Whew so alot has happened this past month! Sorry I haven't been up and online, just busy as heck! I'm about to go to a new department :( on the ship and i'm not exactly thrilled about it since these people eat cookies all day and never workout. My LPO is a workhorse (even when we don't have any work) and my DIVO isn't used to having a female in the office (they haven't had one since early 2007). Sigh. Day 14- SO fell off the wagon and busted my butt
So yesterday was a stress day. Well it didn't start out that way, I woke up early, worked out, and decided to come to the office early. Only to be hounded by 6 chiefs and two officers that two members HAD to leave TODAY. So I got to grab some poptarts for breakfast and rush through the paperwork. Day 12- Here we go AGAIN!? REALLY!?
Sooo got up really early this morning well early for me is 0500. To go do laundry and on the way back to my berthing my friend bribed me with a box of cookies to get something done for him in my office and darn it, I hadn't eaten yet and they smelled sooo good, that I took the cookies. DAY 11 ARE WE THERE YET?!!!!!
It's only day 11! Sheesh who knew going underway could be so hard sometimes! I see my guy at least once or twice a day and everyday we get to do our high five instead of a hug and darn it I REALLY hate high fives. Whew the gym kicked my ---
So went to the gym twice yesterday, once to do my triceps and bicep workout and then again last night after 30 minutes of cardio on the stationary bike. I worked on my abs and thighs. Whew am I feeling it today! I made sure to eat plenty of fiber and protien (I don't think I can choke down my muscle milk today bleck!) Which btw don't get muscle milk unless you have a strong stomach and no taste buds. Even MILK won't help muscle milk ha-ha. Although it gave my PS2 something to laugh about. I'm a HUGE baby ...

Week 1! Whooo
I'm trying so hard to stay optimistic. I'm trying very hard to eat something for breakfast everyday too. While at breakfast with my friend my guy stopped by our table and when I mentioned I was cold he held out his arms. It sucks I can't even get a hug from him!!! :( But at least in hong kong we'll get at least one day together! Other than not being able to hug my guy things aren't too bad. Day 6 - My uniform fits me better!
So my utilities are fitting looser, and my abs are finally coming back! I've added more protien to my diet and increased my water intake. Soda is no longer part of my life right now. We got some fresh produce today (yay!!) and boy is the ship today happy. We also got some fresh cheese today too!! I wish our ship would add more healthy snacks to our ships store. Alot of us are pushing to have soda removed from the ship since really it's not helping anybody! Or at least raise the prices enough to make people think twice ...

Day 5- had a set back!
So I totally blew my good diet. Haha we pulled into San Diego where I had a small fruit smoothie, and TGI Fridays last night. I had a jack daniels burger with fries and then had a couple bites of my boyfriends dessert (brownie!!). And whooo that just killed me! But I was somewhat good today. I took my Muscle Milk and had subway for lunch. Got to work on that going out to eat thing! Day 3 and Counting!
Ugh we had General Quarters last night (pretty much a fire drill, except all of us are fire fighters saving the ship), and afterwards I did the ellipical for 30 minutes on hills and my ab workout. I have no energy towards the end of the day to study for my SATs and Warfare Pin. I think it's just me adjusting to being underway. It is kind of nice though being rocked to sleep. Day 2 out at sea
Well it's only day 2! I'm doing pretty good with eating lots of fruits and limiting my sweets! Working out at night is killing me though. I get up at 0530 and start work at 0700 and we don't get off until 2000 (8pm) we work 13-15 hour days. And I'm studying for my SATs and my warfare pin. It's really hard to stay positive underway. But my guy is pretty wonderful, I see him at least once a day (he has a crazy schedule too). He helps me study when he can and is always supportive. I hope I ...

Going on Deployment
Well another day has gone by and we go on deployment. I'm excited for this new year since I'll be saving to buy a car when we get back, but the crappy part is we're going to be inport for a total of 3 months this year. So I won't see my family at all. Sucks but that's the navy. Oh and it's a year of high fives for my boyfriend and I (we're on the same ship and there is to be no affectionate touching, hugging, especially no kissing of any kind).
