![]() female, 38 years old Roseville (near Sacramento), CA | November 6, 2009, 6:27 pm Eating your excercise, uh, part 3, I guess....This has been on my mind as well. My question is a little different. I don't have a problem with eating my regular exercise calories. For instance, my daily 3 mile run is usually just under 300 calories, and most of the time I need them to get my intake allotment above 1200. BUT, when I do a long run or long bike ride on the weekend, sometimes I can burn 500-600 calories for a long run and 1000 calories for a long ride. Then I attempt to eat the calories, and I end up gaining a pound. It has happened for three weeks. (You'll have to go back to last weekend if you check the logs, I took a couple days off of logging) Thoughts? It is frustrating.Oh, and also, sometimes my sodium is high on the long ride days if I have the energy bars, but I know my body is burning salt through sweat on long workouts..... I'd like to hear thoughts on that too. Thanks friends.
